Project Description

A District Improvement Financing (DIF) District known as the Providence Highway Development District was approved by Town Meeting in Spring 2019. The DIF district spans from the Boston/Dedham line to Route 95/128, encompassing around 150 properties along Providence Highway. Creating the boundaries of the district was considered "Phase 1" of the DIF process.

In 2023, the Town of Dedham received a grant of $56,500 from the Commonwealth for “Phase 2”, which consisted of drafting a plan for the district. The Town hired Camoin Associates as consultants to assist with the development of the plan. Camoin has extensive experience with DIF, having written the Commonwealth’s tutorials and guidance documents for DIF, in addition to working with cities and towns to develop many DIF plans.
