The Council on Aging Board, created by Town Bylaw Chapter 12, Article III, works to address the concerns and needs of aging residents.
Members
The Council on Aging Board has at least seven and up to 15 members. Four members represent the Parks & Recreation Commission, the Board of Health, the Police Department, and Dedham Public Schools. Additional members are appointed by the Town Manager. All one-year terms expire in August. Current members include:

Council meetings are also attended by a representative of the regional Health and Social Services Consortium (HESSCO).

Town boards and committees consist of volunteers who may not be available during business hours. If you need a response during business hours, please contact the Council on Aging.
Meetings
The Council on Aging Board meets on the third Thursday of the month. Public meeting dates and times are posted at Town Hall and the Dedham Public Library at least 48 hours before each meeting in compliance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law. Meeting agendas will also be posted on this website.
