The Capital Expenditures Committee performs an annual review and makes recommendations on the Town's five-year capital improvement plan, which details improvements to Town-owned buildings. The committee also allocates funds for Town projects and studies, all of this as defined in Town Bylaw Chapter 39, Section 9.

The Capital Expenditures Committee has five members, all of whom must be registered voters in Dedham. Three members are appointed to staggered, 3-year terms by the Town Moderator.
