INTERFACE Referral Services

As part of a collaborative effort involving the Dedham Public Schools and various town departments including Police, Fire, Veterans Affairs, Youth Commission, Council on Aging, Board of Health and the Dedham Housing Authority, the Town of Dedham has subscribed to the INTERFACE Referral Service offered by William James College.  William James College is a graduate college of psychology located in Newton.

The William James College INTERFACE Referral Service is currently available to all Dedham residents.  Residents looking for outpatient mental health services can call the helpline, Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM, to speak with a referral counselor. The counselors will help callers find a mental health provider who matches four key criteria: the specialty needed, availability, insurance, and location preferences.  The goal of the referral service is to help promote better access to mental health care. This is a FREE, confidential referral service for individuals across the lifespan, living in Dedham.

INTERFACE counselors are extensively trained in a variety of mental health concerns and will conduct a 20-25 minute intake with the caller. If you or someone you know is in need of mental health services, call (888) 244-6843. In addition, a Dedham page has been established on the William James INTERFACE website with additional information and resources related to mental health and wellness.
