About
Designing Dedham 2030 (DD2030) is a town-wide master plan process that will set a direction for town goals and activities for the next 10 years. A draft of the Designing Dedham 2030 Master Plan was completed in December 2021. The Master Plan, put together by the Master Plan Committee and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), is broken into eight chapters:
- Land Use and Zoning
- Economic Development
- Housing
- Natural, Cultural, Historic Resources
- Transportation
- Community Facilities and Services
- Public Health and Livability
Each chapter assesses current conditions and provides critical next steps with goals for improvement. Each goal contains targeted implementation strategies in the near-term (1 to 3 years), mid-term (4 to 6 years), and long-term (7 to 9 years) timeframes.
What’s Next?
The document is now under consideration by the Planning Board who will finalize and adopt the plan in the coming months. Dedham residents are encouraged to attend Planning Board meetings and engage with the Board before the document is officially adopted.
