The Procurement Department is a centralized office supporting and providing assistance to Town personnel to acquire goods, services, and contracts, as necessary to conduct Town business. The Procurement Department also provides management and oversight of state and federal grants. 

The primary goal of the Procurement Department is to provide assistance and oversight with the process of procuring quality goods and services in a fair, competitive and transparent manner, by using objective standards for the selection of contractors and vendors, through fair, impartial and uniform bidding, contract development and awarding processes.

The Town of Dedham is accepting sealed bids for the partial replacement of roof sections at the Dedham High SchoolCopies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available beginning Wednesday June 26th, 2024 and may be obtained at the Town Manager’s Office, 450 Washington St, Dedham, MA 02026, 3rd floor for a $50 non-refundable fee, or online at the Town’s Website for FREE.

PLEASE NOTE: By clicking this link will be taken to a survey. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE SURVEY  IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD THE BID DOCUMENTS. THE BID DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE ONCE YOU FILL OUT THE SURVEY.

Sealed Filed Sub bids must be submitted no later than the following times for each category; Wednesday July 17th, 2024,   1. Plumbing FSB @ 10:00 AM. 2. Electrical FSB @ 11:00 AM. 

 

Sealed general bids must be submitted no later than  2 PM, on Wednesday July 24th, 2024 to the following:

LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Bids will be publicly opened after submission deadline. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities.

THE FOLLOWING MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL LAWS REGULATE PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES:

  • c.30B - Supplies and Services, Real Property, Surplus Equipment
  • c.30,39m - Public Works Construction
  • c.149 - Building Construction
  • c.7C, §§44-57 - Design Services

THE FOLLOWING THRESHOLDS DICTATE THE TYPE OF PROCUREMENT THAT OCCURS:

  • Less than $10,000 - Sound Business Practices
  • $10,000 to $50,000 - Formal Quote Process
  • $50,000 or more - Sealed Bid (IFB) or Proposal Process (RFP)

The CPO may opt to employ a more restrictive and competitive process when they feel such a process is in the Town's best interest.
