We are thrilled to share that two community meetings are set to take place this month, following up on the discussions from the prior meetings held this past May regarding two significant transportation projects.
- Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 6PM: Local Road Safety Plan Hybrid Meeting (Zoom and at the Public Safety Building)
- Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 6PM: Lowder Street Neighborhood Comprehensive Traffic Study Hybrid Meeting (Zoom and at the Public Safety Building)
These meetings will provide another opportunity for residents to engage in meaningful dialogue about the progress and future plans for possible safety improvements and roadway enhancements. Your input is invaluable as we work collaboratively to create efficient and accessible infrastructure throughout Dedham. Join us to stay informed and have your voice heard as we build upon the foundations laid in our previous meetings.
Local Road Safety Plan
Funded through a federal grant for more than $200,000 from the United States Department of Transportation, the LRSP will be created with the support of the consultant firm, Bowman, who will assist in analyzing data, identifying potential risk factors at past crash locations, supporting public outreach and engagement activities, and helping the Town to proactively develop a toolkit for future projects that are reflective of the Select Board's commitment to safety.
We’ve heard your feedback (over 4,000 responses!) and now want to talk about recommended enhancements to improve road safety.

Lowder Street Neighborhood Comprehensive Traffic Study
Follow up meeting to the May 2024 meeting discussing the updated findings to the traffic study being conducted throughout the Lowder Street Neighborhood. Discuss focused improvement strategies based upon neighborhood feedback and suggestions from previous meeting. Offer input and preference on potential improvements you would like to see.
