Group Exercise Instructors

The Town of Dedham seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates for the positions of Group Exercise Instructors within the Parks and Recreation Department who will instruct group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes participants' wellness and engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor.
  • Builds effective, authentic relationships with participants.
  • Keeps accurate class attendance records.
  • Follows Town of Dedham policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED
  • Certification in areas of expertise.
  • Experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to conduct classes and activities.
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position; including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
