TOWN OF DEDHAM MEETING NOTICE

POSTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF M.G.L. CHAPTER 30A SECTION 20 AS AMENDED. 

 OFFICIAL NOTICE OF TOWNWIDE SUMMIT

Select Board/Town Manager; Zoning Board of Appeals; Board of Health/Health Director; Finance & Warrant Committee; Conservation Commission/Conservation Agent; Planning Board/Town Planner; School Committee/Superintendent; Park & Recreation/PR Director; Assessors/Assessing Director; School Building Rehab Committee; Library Trustees/Library Director; Open Space & Recreation Committee; and Human Rights Commission.

The Town of Dedham will be holding a Townwide Summit from 6:30-9:00 on February 28 at the Dedham Middle School.  The Summit will bring boards and committees together to learn what is ahead for the Town in the coming years. Town Counsel will briefly review the application of the “sunshine laws”, and the Town Clerk will review relevant election information.  The boards and committees listed above will provide a brief update on the issues they are facing. It is not anticipated that boards and committee members will engage in deliberation at the Summit; however, this notice is being posted to notify the public.  One set of meeting minutes will be taken for all participating boards and committees.  While not styled as a meeting for purposes of the Open Meeting Law, the public is invited to attend.

The Townwide Summit has been planned to bring boards and committees together as an opportunity to learn what is ahead in the coming years. Updates will be offered by some of the major elected boards and Town staff, and from other appointed boards and committees. 

Town Counsel will open the program with a brief presentation on meeting protocol, Open Meeting Law, etc. and Town Clerk Paul Munchbach will provide a Town Election update. The Town Moderator Dan Driscoll will facilitate the program, and the following boards, committees, and Town staff will provide updates:
