Election Results

Interested in watching the results as they are reported? We now have THREE ways you can tune in! 

The following options will be available tonight to view the unofficial election results, beginning after the polls close:

• Town website - View the results on our Election Results Page on our website to access the spreadsheet PDF (refreshed as information is available)
• Zoom - Watch from your computer or mobile device as the results are entered into the Election Results spreadsheet (LIVE)
• Google Sheet - New this year! Use this link for a live look at the results as they are entered into the Election Results spreadsheet

Reminder: All results are UNOFFICIAL until the Board of Registrars and the Town Clerk's team have completed the certification process that does not begin until after the polls officially close. Upon completion of this process, the results will be made official and submitted to the Secretary of State's Office for record.

Reminder: The 2023 Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at all polling locations on Election Day.

TOWN ELECTION (Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) - SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 2023

TOWN MEETING (7:00 p.m. at High School) - MONDAY, MAY 15, 2023

FALL TOWN MEETING (7:00p.m. at High School) - MONDAY, NOVEMBER TBA, 2023

INCUMBENT TOWN REPRESENTATIVES – written notice to become candidates for re-election must be in by Friday 5:00pm, February 10, 2023. (Chapter 53, Section 10)

Nomination papers may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s office only by a candidate or a person who has the written authorization from the candidate.  This applies to Town Representatives as well as major office candidates. (Chapter 53, Section 17 G.L.)  Papers will be available Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

SIGNATURES REQUIRED

Major Office: 50 registered voters throughout the Town

Town Representatives: 10 registered voters from your precinct

IMPORTANT DATES

Wednesday, February 15, 2023: Last day to pick up nomination papers 5:00pm

Friday, February 17, 2023: Last day for submitting nomination papers to Registrars for certification of signatures by 5:00PM

Tuesday, March 7, 2023: Last day to withdraw nomination papers or object 5pm; Drawing for Ballot Position 6pm                                                                                                                                        

Wednesday, March 29, 2023: Last day to register to vote for the Town of Dedham Election (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm.)

Monday, April 3, 2023: The deadline to receive an application for mail-in ballot 

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS – Campaign Finance Reports for major office seekers must be filed on/or before Friday, March 31, 2023 with activity from 1/1/2023- 3/21/2023, and a final report on/or before Monday May 8, 2023 with activity from 3/22/2022- 5/8/2023.
