The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to discuss plans to install a new water pipeline through in Dedham.
The project focuses on an MWRA service area that provides drinking water to Canton, Dedham, Norwood, Stoughton, Westwood, portions of Brookline and Milton, and the Roslindale, West Roxbury and Hyde Park sections of Boston.
Five communities in the southern portion of the service area, including Dedham, are served by a single water transmission main that was installed in the 1950s. This project will provide a second water transmission main to ensure service. More information.
