Find School Committee meetings on the Dedham Public Schools Calendar

Hey, Dedham. What’s next for 600 High Street?

The Dedham Square Planning Committee (DPSC) needs your help and feedback for the future of the Police Station Property, located at 600 High Street and welcomes everyone to attend their next virtual community event on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

As the DSPC prepares to issue a final report and recommendation to the Select Board, they are seeking the help of the community to fine-tune what will be included. On September 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., the DSPC is holding another interactive, virtual community event that will serve as the culmination of a series of public meetings and community outreach that took place over the past two years.

Make your voice heard at this event: Hey, Dedham. What’s next for 600 High Street? This event will serve as another opportunity for residents and stakeholders to learn about the project and have a say in the design that aims to create a dynamic space for everyone in Dedham to enjoy. Sign up to attend this event using the following link: bit.ly/WhatIsNextFor600HighStreet and participate in the development of the DSPC recommendation for the property.

Event Program:

  • Presentation – DSPC consultant will present a series of design concepts developed using comments and ideas from previous community events. All comments collected are recorded and taken into consideration.
  • Breakout Rooms – Participate in small group discussions with DSPC members to answer critical questions and explore the community needs/wants for the space, funding, benefits, and more.
  • Question & Answer – DSPC will answer remaining questions from the community about the project and what has been completed to date.
  • Wrap-Up & Next Steps – To close out the event, the DSPC will summarize the event and outline the next steps in this process.

DSPC Goals for this event:

  • Gather additional input and ideas – There is still time to share your comments and ideas with the DSPC! All feedback is taken into consideration for the final recommendation report to the Select Board.
  • Review design concepts – Public feedback has been cataloged and used to create various design concepts that encapsulate what the DSPC has heard so far from the Dedham community.
  • Answer your questions – The DSPC and Town staff are always available to answer questions about this project, and this event is another opportunity to join neighbors and friends and discuss the future of this property.
  • Build more community connections – Meet members of the DPSC and Town staff and learn about all the work that has gone into this project from the beginning.

It is the unrelenting goal of the DSPC to provide an opportunity for each Dedham resident to participate in this process and take pride in the outcome that will serve this community for years to come.
